Why FlyingHost Uses Per-Site Pricing
FlyingHost plans are priced per site because every WordPress site runs in its own managed container with resources reserved for that site.
Why not price by storage?
Storage does not reflect a site's workload. A small WooCommerce site may use little disk space but need more CPU, RAM, PHP workers, database capacity, and caching than a much larger static site.
The plan also includes premium services billed to FlyingHost per site, including Cloudflare Enterprise and Patchstack.
Why one site per plan?
Per-site pricing lets you choose the right plan for each site. Smaller sites can use a smaller plan, while larger or busier sites can use a higher plan with more resources.
Because resources are not shared between sites, a traffic spike, slow plugin, or other problem on one site cannot consume another site's plan resources. A smaller site's issue will not take down a larger site, and vice versa.
Each site receives:
- Dedicated high-frequency CPU cores with 5 GHz+ boost speeds
- Defined RAM, storage, and PHP worker limits
- Per-site MariaDB, Redis, and OPcache resources
- Independent upgrades as its requirements grow
How is this different from multi-site hosting?
Some hosting providers bundle multiple sites into one plan, including providers marketed as managed or performance hosting. These plans often share account-wide allowances—such as storage, bandwidth, visits, or other resources—across all included sites.
FlyingHost instead assigns clear resources to each individual site. This provides more predictable performance, better isolation, and the freedom to choose the right plan for every site.
If your priority is hosting many low-traffic sites at the lowest possible cost, a multi-site plan may be a better fit.
